Westpomeranian Voivodeship - Regional Office for Spatial Planning of Westpomeranian Voivodeship is a part of the regional public administration governed by the Marshall – an independent administrative body responsible for the strategic development and spatial policy in the region.

Westpomeranian Voivodeship is situated on the Baltic Sea and close to the border with Germany. The region is inhabited by 1,7 million residents, nearly 70% of the total population lives in cities. Szczecin is the capital of West Pomerania and together with the neighbouring municipalities it comprises a potential cross-border metropolitan region with an impact on the German border area. The economy of the region is determined by sector services, industry, tourism, sea transport and logistics. The region is a leader in the production of wind energy in Poland and has large potential resources in the production of biomass. The approach in BEA-APP is concentrated on renewable resources and spatial aspects in the area of integration of medium sized towns and their rural surroundings.

Regional Office for Spatial Planning represents the region in the spatial planning process (responsible for the introduction of a spatial plan and its monitoring).
